For non-electric bikes we need a photo ID like a driving license, with your current address. A passport will need a proof of address as well.

For electric bikes we need a photo ID and two proofs of address (e.g. driving license and recent utility bill)

We take “selfies” of the hirers and delete the pictures later (assuming all the bikes come back!)

Yes. Under the terms of hire you are responsible for all damage and repairs beyond normal wear at full replacement cost and labour, up to full replacement in the case of theft.  If you are hiring expensive bikes or worried about a charge it may well be worth checking your holiday insurance.  Typical damage that is charged for is from falls: damage to grips, broken brake lever, damaged derailleur. Misuse charges are typically: snapped chains, bent cogs, skid damage to tyres.

Premium hardtails, for the more challenging trails (Whyte 529)

We charge by the hour.  We try to keep the cost as affordable as possible, so the price for the first hour is the highest to cover set up and admin, and subsequent hours are charged at a much lower rate.  When you take the bike out you don’t have to say how long you will have them for, so if you want to stay out longer, you can at very reasonable rates.

There is the friendly Hub Café run by the Salvation Army, playgrounds, pump tracks, Parkour, walking trails, cows, castles, history, views, and much more.  The site is a SSSI and a haven for all types of plants and animals.

We have pedal bikes suitable for children from 3 years and upwards. We also have balance bikes for those who can’t pedal yet. Please note that we don’t hire pedal bikes for children who can’t yet pedal – unless you are having a cycle lesson with us.
